A sexual satire, deemed outrageous on its release, directed by Billy Wilder.

This is a must-see film for aficionados of the director, Billy Wilder and the actor-singer, Dean Martin. It has been a long time since I discovered a "classic" film that I had never seen before and ended up enjoying so immensely. Dean Martin proves his versatility as an actor in a self-parody. His acting skills and comedic timing have perhaps never been better. Kim Novak is a joy to behold: reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's unique blend of statuesque beauty and good-natured fun. Ray Walston is frenetic and funny. The rest of the cast is uniformly superb. Although the film was under-appreciated when released in 1964, it has found a new generation of film buffs who have re-evaluated it vis-a-vis the Billy Wilder collection of films.
