Sean Tyla was a pub rock veteran (Ducks
Deluxe) who issued some of the earliest
singles on Stiff. Those were great but kind
of oddball (Styrofoam). For this album he
had a very tight quartet a pretty mainstre-
am rock style, and his best batch of songs.
Everything about this record is great.Good
to see that it made it into the digital era.It's
even got a smattering of those oddball Stiff
singles as bonus tracks.

Re-issue of the 1977 album that featured
singer/guitarist Sean Tyla, from pub rock-
ers Ducks Deluxe. It’s an album of straight
ahead, driving blues rock - not unlike clas-
sic Quo circa ‘Piledriver’. ‘Hurricane’ sets
the scene nicely complete with slide guitar
and ‘Lost Angels’ will get your foot tapping.
There is even a touch of country rock on
the mellow ‘New York Sun’. This release
also adds no less than six bonus tracks,
including the smokin’ ‘Texas Chainsaw
Massacre Boogie’.Some great guitar play-
ing on here from Tyla and fellow guitarist
Bruce Irvine. A worthy re-release and if
your bag is the blues rock of George Tho-
rogood, Bob Dylan or Tom Petty, get hold
of a copy of this CD.Highly recommended.
