A 1940s classic in which Humphrey Bogart and two partners, down on their luck in Mexico, aim to get rich by striking it mining in some untapped spot. Director John Huston's own father played the wise old timer who leads the younger two in their pursuit of gold in the sierra, winning one of three Oscars for his acting. Bogart is also excellent as the paranoid Dobbs.

About 10% of the dialogue, I reckon, is in Spanish, and not all of it is translated, but don't let that spoil the show for you. The DVD has a documentary and a commentary track as well as the trailer.

Not a romantic tale, actually a tense story of suspicion, mistrust and good luck coming as an interim between bouts of bad.
