"This is an excellent horror/fantasy film that boasts a terrific cast consisting of Jennifer Connely (in her film debut) and Donald Pleasance ("Halloween") that is directed by the man often referred to as the Italian version of Alfered Hitchcock, Dario Argento. It is a classic "whodunnit" in Hitchcockian tradition but, in my opinion, the similarities end there. This film has some terrific special effects that involve the use of insects and a hard-hitting soundtrack that is a combination of heavy metal and the usual Argento style dream-like background music that helps make his films work"
