"Frost is summoned to a remote farm-house by criminal Kevin Flanagan who is in a blind panic. At the farm, he finds a crocodile and cages full of endangered species, as well as a severed leg. This transpires to belong to an Asian man, part of the gang who have been smuggling rare animals, and Flanagan, who has escaped the gang, is used by Frost to help locate its leader. At the same time, the Harris family are shocked to find the nude corpse of a local art teacher in their bedroom. A search of his studio yields revealing photos of a female colleague but it is the Harris' teenage son who literally holds the key to events. Meanwhile, Frost is forced to puppywalk a new trainee, DC Robert Presley (Blake Ritson), who has a lot to learn about divisional CID."

A Touch Of Frost - Endangered Species is one of the later episodes in this award winning cops and crime drama series. The show is based on the novels by R. D. Wingfield, and David Jason stars in the lead role of gruff and tough Detective Inspector Jack Frost. He is joined by Bruce Alexander (who plays the incredibly officious Superintendent Norman Mullett), Blake Ritson (as DC Robert Presley, Frost's sidekick), and John Lyons (DS Toolan, another colleague). Set in a fictitious and dreary town called Denton, "A Touch of Frost" contains a good dose of humour. Each episode features plots related to violence and/or murder, and Frost's pursuit of the ladies is another fairly regular sub-plot in the show.

Frost is busy with two cases: smugglers trafficking in rare and endangered species and murder and the naked body of an art teacher discovered in the bedroom of returning vacationers. Frost is called to investigate when a couple return from holiday to find the body of a complete stranger in their bed. He also becomes involved in a murder inquiry and uncovers a crime ring involved in the importing of endangered species and illegal animal goods. However, all this work doesn't leave him with much time to devote to his latest romantic interest!"
