(the airborne force of Ukraine’s Armed Forces); under the coin issue year is the mint mark of the NBU’s Banknote Printing and Minting Works.

Against a smooth background is a symbolic image of a paratrooper wearing a knight’s amour; the paratrooper has half-unfolded wings behind his back, which are a symbol of the patron saint of the army – Archangel Michael.

This coin celebrates the airborne force – a certain type of troops that belong to the immediate response forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. This force is characterized by its high maneuverability and autonomy of action, which are required for rapid deployment to conduct offensive and assault operations, provide cover for other troops, attack the enemy from the air, and fight in the enemy’s rear.
